Common Questions •

Is it necessary that my family dentist schedule my appointment with your office?

No, it is not.  Many of our patients are referred to us by their family dentists.  Others take the iniative to schedule an examination appointment themselves.

How may I schedule an appointment for an initial examination?

Simply give our office a call or send us an email and we will be happy to schedule an appointment for you.  When you contact us, our new patient coordinator will request some basic information, check with your family dentist regarding any available x-rays, and schedule your appointment at your convenience.  Prior to your appointment we will mail you a new patient information form and some general information about our Practice.

What will take place at my first appointment?

After becoming acquainted, we'll gather photographs of your teeth.  Dr. Pierce will complete a thorough clinical examination and provide the following information:

  1. The nature and extent of any orthodontic concerns
  2. Treatment options
  3. An estimation of treatment time
  4. An estimation of treatment fees and insurance benefits

What happens next?

If you would benefit from Orthodontic care, we typically reserve enough time to gather your Orthodontic records, a series of photographs, x-rays, and dental models, which allow us to provide customized treatment options.  We then ask that you return in 2-3 weeks for a treatment conference at which time your detailed treatment pans and fee schedules are reviewed.

How often will appointments be necessary?

After care begins, most Orthodontic appointments are scheduled at intervals of 4-6 weeks.
